Blog Update

Hello everyone,

I haven't been able to update my blog at all lately just because of lack of time. I've been working a "free" internship 30-40 hours a week along while playing poker almost every day to pay my bills and maintain my lifestyle. Basically I will be graduating from college finally this December so I'm going to finally have that monkey of my chest and can move on to bigger and better things.

I've been playing a lot of poker later. I'll post a graph when I get home. Basically I've been running decent. I'm really not going to complain about anything. I've been playing a bit of everything CAP NLHE, 6 max NLHE, HU NLHE and most recently HE PLO. I'm up quite a bit but not really what I'm accustomed because i've been playing lower stakes and haven't been able to put in my usual volume.

I also got a couple stakes for the FTOPS recently which I blanked on :-( Just ran terrible. Busted out of all my tournies rather quickly and didn't come close to the money in anything. Although I did manage to eek out 2/3 FTOPS ME sat wins so that was nice.

So I guess that's that. I'll try to keep this blog updated once or twice a week.

Well I'm back

Well I took a long break from poker basically trying to get my life on track. It's been a nice well deserved break but I've cashed out and spent over half of my poker roll to support my degenerate habits and excessive spending. So I've decided to get back to the grind and try to make a couple bucks this month.
I've decided to return to the game I enjoy the most, shorthanded CAP NLH, but due to bankroll deficiencies I've had to move down to 1/2 and OMG there are so many terrible players here. Its just been a huge mess of shit. Outplaying bitches, scooping tons of pots. I've ran ok, I think I'm 200 below EV on the month and have been coolered a bunch. My first 10k hands was just a terrible grind but I've definately got something going in the last 5k.

I've also recently decided to not check my results while I'm playing. I've had a terrible habit of consitantly checking how I'm doing and how I'm running that it destracts from my game and inhibits me from playing my A game. I really want to check my results only once or twice a week but I'm not sure if I have to will power not to pop up my HEM graph at the end of the day.

I'm hoping to start mixing in some 2/4 tables pretty soon. I should have my rackback soon which is going to be a nice boost. Hopefully I can keep this up.

My return to 100BB poker.

Over the last week I've decided that I got lazy playing NLHE CAP and my biggest profits in the past was on 100BB cash tables. So I decided to make the move back and WOW. That's all I can say. Right after I cash out 5k I go on a huge downswing. Let's just destroy my roll :-(

I started my return a little rusty and lost of couple BIs but was able to get it going again for a bit. Then I hit this wall. I didn't play too much last week so I decided to put in a huge session today and it really couldn't have went any worse. I'm pretty sure I lost every flip. I am down $674 with AKs and another 350 with AKo. Here's a couple fun hands this session. A couple winners and a bunch of brutallity.

Well, I'm only down $381.20 over $2016 in BIs. Not to bad for me for a Sunday. The last couple Sundays I've played I've been down over a grand.

So I feel like this expression pretty much represents how I feel right now FUUUUCK. O well gg me, I played very well at least.

Also I've moved most of my bankroll over to pokerstars. Without having rakeback on FTP I just don't see the reason to continue to have my primary roll on the site. I'm going to miss the CAP games on FTP but Pokerstars has a lot to offer and really cool VIP/FPP program. Plus their tourneys are the shit.

July Update

Well I haven't really had anything interesting to post about this month. I haven't played to many MTTs so far and have really just been grinding mid stakes NLHE CAP. The games are so easy and the money is flowing no problem I don't really see why I should be doing anything else. So far this month I've played about 20k hands mostly at 2/4 CAP NLHE with a total profit of over 5k. I plan to grind these games out for the rest of the month because I have some live tourney series to play in mid to late august.

- I'm planning on playing events 1-8 and probably the second chances when I bust out of an event early. I went to a series here last year but only ended up playing one tournament and instead played 30+ hour sessions of 2/5. This year I really want to focus on the tourneys because it will definately be more relaxing and would basically be burning money if I didn't play.
I figure I'll need somewhere in between 3-5k for the trip so hopefully FTP will be quick with their bank transfers (cross my fingers).

MINUS 2k EV Session

So today I play 7k+ hands of BE poker. OMG it was like the worse fucking thing ever. Just constantly getting outdrawn, losing every flip and endless coolers. This was probably the most torturous thing I have ever done in my life, my I keep playing and eventually was able to get back to even. Just check this graph, every time I was able to get something going I got crushed over and over again.

If I ran even decent I should have been able to make some decent money this session but as you can see by this graph it was just terrible. Check some of these hands:

So this was my day but plus all the flips and shit I lost. I'm playing a live $225 weekly tourney at motor city casino tomorrow so hopefully I'll be able to grab myself some dollars there or at least get some entertainment out of the live donkeys that are going to be playing.

Bubble Fever and a Massive Swing Session

Took the weekend off to go out to my gfs grandparent's cottage. Had a good time but the jet ski was broken so there went a lot of my fun. Got real drunk, got some sun and had a real good time but its time to get back to work and make some money. This tripped unfucked my sleep schedule though so I started my session today at 10:00AM! Haven't play tourneys in the early morning for a while and needless to say I was in a little funk. Started off real strong but managed to bubble a bunch of tourneys with decent stacks in spazy fashion.

He had ridiculous stats but I put so much of my stack at risk with 95o. Got some shit for this one from my buddies and defiantly don't know WTF I was doing. Finished 35th - 27paid

So I took a couple hours off and decided to play some cash. Put in 2512 hands of 2/4 and 3/6 CAP and it was a crazy mess. The swings in CAP NLHE games are massive and sometimes hard to deal with. I literly couldn't hold massively favorited hand and lost every flip for a large period of time. Then all of a sudden I couldn't lose a flip and won some sweet hands like AK vs AK.


So on the upside it ended really well for me. Running way above EV for the last 500 hands or so. Always nice to book a four figure day when you have some of the beats that I had today. Probably going to be cutting my tourny volume for some CAP this month. I really like playing tournies but I'm making way to much money on the cash tables right now to justify spending to much time playing tournies. Also planning on cashing out some funds and getting myself a nice toy:
